Marcela Mancía is a partner at IGNITE Legal & Financial Advisors, where she leads the Intellectual Property practice. With more than 27 years of experience, she is one of the most influential figures in the field in El Salvador. Her career has been built at market-leading firms: she spent over a decade in the intellectual property department of one of the country’s foremost full-service law firms, and later served as a partner at a firm recognized as a regional leader in intellectual property in Central America.
Her practice covers trademarks, patents, copyrights, domain names, and trade secrets, as well as anti-piracy and enforcement strategies, including border measures and litigation. She also advises on corporate matters — mergers and acquisitions, business structuring, due diligence, and regional expansion — allowing her to address the protection of intangible assets as part of the client’s overall business strategy.
